For me, cracking seems to be about heat.  In my oven, I can only bake one pan at a time and have found that a double pan at 325 degree works best.  However, all ovens are different.  

You also want to make sure you pipe the macarons on to cool pans.

		<description>My macarons keep cracking on the top before the foot even gets a chance to develop. I wacked the pan on the counter a few times, I left the macrons to flatten until they were semi dry on top which took over an hr. So frustrated.. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!</description>
